Optimising Conversion (CRO): Turning Visitors into Customers

Doubling your traffic is difficult and costly. Doubling your conversion rate — the proportion of visitors who make a purchase or contact you — has the same impact on sales, often at a much lower cost. This is the focus of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation).

Reducing friction

Every obstacle loses customers: forms that are too long, slow pages, hidden prices, lack of reassurance. Identify friction points and eliminate them one by one.

Building trust

People don’t buy from strangers. Customer reviews, guarantees, secure payment, real contact details, and return policies: these are all signals that provide reassurance at the decisive moment.

Clarifying the call to action

One goal per page, a visible button, an action verb, and a benefit. “Get my free quote” converts better than “Submit”.

Test, don’t guess

A/B testing compares two versions (a headline, a button, an image) using real traffic and keeps the winning one. Decisions are based on data, not opinions.

Key takeaway: before buying more traffic, ask yourself what happens once the visitor arrives. CRO is one of the best returns on effort in digital marketing.
